Short run is a free one day festival located in the heart of the Seattle Center campus across from the International Fountain. Short Run focuses on the medium of comics as a coalescence of art and literature featuring artists from the Pacific Northwest and around the world who make alternative comix and self-published, small press, and handmade books of all kinds.

Third Place Books welcomes author and illustrator Josh Tuininga to our Ravenna store! I will be on the Abrams ComicArts panel at ComicCon as they introduce titles for fall 2023 and spring 2024, including works from Josh Tuininga (We Are Not Strangers), Josh Trujillo and Levi Hastings (Washington’s Gay General), Stephan Franck (Silver volumes 1 and 2), and Bill Griffith (Three Rocks, Nobody’s Fool), along with senior editor Charlotte Greenbaum and moderator/editor-in-chief Charles Kochman.
Art Club at Two Rivers Highschool & Echo Glen Juvenile Detention Center
I teach a comics and art club where we tackle everything from figure drawing and still life to storyboards and character design. I teach this class at Two Rivers, a ‘Big Picture’ school in Snoqualmie and also at Echo Glen Children’s center.
